Church School

At Zion we write our own curriculum, tailored to the needs of our children, rather than an impersonal workbook curriculum. This allows us to include our own creativity and inspiration. It  is based on the biblical texts read by the congregation at our services and often includes an activity or craft related to the lesson.  The teaching is done by volunteers from our parish.  

On Sundays church school begins at 10am.The young people join the rest of the congregation in time for communion.  On the first Sunday of each month we have a family service, which involves our young people directly in the liturgy.  In an effort to deepen the spirituality of our children we also have a weekday class on Wednesdays at 3:30pm.  It alternates between our younger children and young people of confirmation age, 12 years old and up.  It is taught by Fr. Richard.  We welcome families at our services and hope you will come and see what we are about.
